Simret Niguse is a Medical Doctor, Pediatrics and Child Health Specialist based in Mekelle, Tigray, Ethiopia. She was born and grew up in Mekelle city, studied at Mekelle University, graduating with a medical degree in 2018.
She was appointed as an academic physician at the same University since then. Shortly, she joined a residency program and studied Pediatrics and Child Health specialty and graduated in 2021. She was selected to be one of the chief residents to coordinate and lead her team during her residency program.
While she was in her last year of the specialty training program, she joined a center as a core team member of Maternal, Adolescent, Reproductive, and Child Health research center (MARCH) found in Mekelle University. She is affiliated to implementation and translational research and eager to explore more in healthcare leadership. Currently, she is working as a pediatrician and researcher in Mekelle University and continues to teach medical students.
